Whiskey Drinks
Whiskey is known for warming up a person when the weather gets cold. In reality, it really just gives you the immediate sensation of warmth by causing your blood vessels to dilate which brings warm blood closer to the surface of your skin. The feeling won't last long, but it will sure taste good when it goes down! Here are a couple of whiskey cocktails you may want to try.
- Hot Toddy
This classic cocktail made up of whiskey, honey, lemon juice, and hot water is a great drink for tackling some of the symptoms of a winter cold. - Four Horsemen
If a little bit of whiskey gives you a warm feeling, imagine what 4 at once will do! This delicious drink consists of scotch whiskey, bourbon whiskey, Tennessee whiskey, and Irish whiskey.
Coffee Drinks
Hot coffee always tastes good on a cold day, and when you add some of the special ingredients from behind our bar, it tastes even better! Coffee cocktails are great to enjoy with your meal, and they make excellent after-dinner drinks too. Some of our favorite add-ins are; Bailey's, Irish whiskey, Kahlua, and Amaretto.
Bloody Marys
Yes, this drink is served over ice, but it's the perfect cocktail to add a bit of heat to. With the proper ingredients added to the base mix, you can really give it some spicy deliciousness. Let the bartender know how hot you can handle yours, and with the addition of some spices, hot sauce, and certain flavored vodkas, you'll soon be enjoying a cocktail that will definitely warm you up.
Seasonal Craft Beer
Okay, these are actually served ice cold, but they're only available this time of year. Your dinner should warm you up enough that you can enjoy a full-bodied, tasty brew along with it.
