How do we do it?
Every single day here at the best BBQ restaurant in Des Moines, the first thing to greet you when you arrive will be the savory smell from our smoker. There is a new mouth-watering batch of meats slow-cooking over hickory daily.
We have discovered the perfect cooking times to give you the juiciest, most tender meats available. It wasn't hard to do, because we took inspiration from the BBQ meccas of the United States: Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, Texas, and the deep south. Our special dry rub begins the process, then that good ol' hickory takes over.
Our Smoked Meats
Pulled Pork
Our pulled pork is slow-smoked over hickory for 16 hours, then hand-pulled & trimmed.
Beef Brisket
Our juicy beef brisket hangs out in the smoker for 10 hours for maximum tenderness.
Burnt Ends
Extra-smoked, seasoned, and seared beef chunks carved right from the brisket point, then topped with our incredible house-made BBQ sauce.
Turkey Breast
100% white meat turkey breast, smoked to perfection.
Pit Ham
Lean, thin-sliced, and double-smoked.
Smoked Sausage
Hickory-smoked polish sausage. Low, slow, and unbelievable delicious.
Lots of Variety
All of these mouth-watering smoked meats can be ordered in sandwich form with one side dish or on a plate alongside a great big piece of Texas toast and two of our incredible side dishes. In addition to that, you can also find these tasty treats on a variety of other items throughout our menu. Here are a few:BBQ Pork Nachos
Our house-smoked pulled pork is the feature in this incredible appetizer. It sits atop tri-colored tortilla chips along with our homemade white queso, baked beans, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes, & onions. It even comes with salsa, sour cream, and jalapenos.
Mushroom, Ham, & Swiss Burger
Hickory-smoked pit ham, sauteed mushrooms, and Swiss cheese are all piled on top of our classic Farm Boy black Angus burger.
Cowboy Cobb Salad
This "king of salads" is generously topped with our smoked ham & turkey, plus crumbled bacon, hard-boiled egg, avocado, tomatoes, red onion, and cheddar-jack & Provel cheese.
Texas 2-Step
Both smoked beef brisket and smoked sausage are drizzled with our house recipe BBQ sauce and served on golden Texas Toast.
