Wobbly Boots Roadhouse will be closing early this Sunday at 3:00 pm (Feb. 4, 2018) but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some of the best BBQ in Des Moines while you watch the game. Wobbly Wings  
Jumbo Chicken Wings coated with our house dry rub, then slow-roasted over hickory, ensuring only the most flavorful juiciest wings possible. We can serve them plain or with your choice of one of our signature sauces in orders of 5, 10, 20, 30, or more! (Stock up, because they disappear fast during the game!) Sauce choices include:

• Teriyaki - Our own house-made sweet and sticky glaze.
• Hot Dijon Sauce - A little hot mustard + buffalo sauce + some sweet = Delish!
• Jalapeno Garlic - Minced jalapenos combined with garlic in a butter sauce. 
• Chipotle Buffalo - Buffalo sauce infused with chipotle peppers making a buttery, smoky Buffalo sauce.

Boneless Wings
Hand-breaded fresh to order! You get a bountiful amount of all-white chicken breast cut into wing-size and fried to golden crisp perfection. They are available plain or tossed with any of our Wobbly Wings sauces.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Jumbo shrimp individually wrapped in our hickory-smoked bacon and grilled to perfection.

Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Our house blend of spinach, artichoke hearts, & three different kinds of cheese, combined with our secret spice blend. Serve it bubbling hot with crispy pita chips.

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
A bountiful blend of crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar-jack cheese, and special seasoning stuffed in large mushroom caps and baked to a golden brown and topped with Provel cheese.

Homemade Chicken Strips
All-white chicken tenders, buttermilk dipped, hand-breaded, and fried to a golden brown. Tender and Delicious! We've got ranch or honey mustard dipping sauces available, but we highly suggest dunking these strips in our house-made BBQ sauce for a real treat.

7 of the Most Popular Tailgate Party Foods

The best place to watch football in Des Moines is from the comfortable seats in our restaurant in front of our 17 TVs. That is if you're not watching from the actual stadium, of course. (Unless it's cold & rainy. Then it's much better here!) 

The Wobbly Boots Roadhouse menu is full of mouthwatering treats, including 7 of the most popular foods to tailgate with. You can eat them here, or you pick them up to take with you to the parking lot of your team's stadium. Either way, you're going to want to get a plateful of these! 

Wings
This is a perfect food for tailgating because you are expected to eat it with your hands, meaning no silverware to mess with and plates are optional. (Of course, you'd better have a LOT of napkins handy!) If you're taking our Wobbly Wings to go, consider getting your favorite sauce on the side for dipping to make it a little less messy. If you're eating them here, we'll give you a plate and plenty of wet naps! 

Burgers
A big, juicy burger is a classic football food item. The toppings you add make a big difference, but it's how you prepare the burger that really matters. All of our burgers are made from 100% hand-pattied Black Angus ground chuck, grilled on a flat-top iron, and served on a fresh soft bun. The best in the Midwest!

Chicken
You can usually find quite a few people grilling chicken when you attend a tailgate, and as good as grilled chicken tastes, our hickory-smoked version is way better! We give you a half chicken that has been generously rubbed in our house spices and then slow-smoked. For the finishing touch, it's thrown on the grill and given a light glaze of our house BBQ sauce. Great on its own, but you can also order it paired with the next popular tailgate item on our list. 

Ribs
Much like chicken wings, you're going to eat these with your hands and you're going to get messy! (But isn't that part of the fun?) You can get as messy as you like when you eat our slow-smoked, dry-rubbed, Baby Back Ribs that are grilled and basted in our house-recipe BBQ sauce. It's easy to wash off when you're finished, and if you're eating it in the football stadium parking lot, well, you are outside. 

Pulled Pork
A heaping helping of hand-pulled, hickory-smoked pork on a fresh bun always hits the spot, and after all, why not have a little pig before watching your team throw around the "pigskin?" We love this particular meat so much, we even added it to the recipe for the next food on the list. 

Nachos

Labor Day Weekend = Beer, BBQ, & College Football!

Labor Day weekend is a perfect time to get together with family and friends to spend a little time enjoying the summer weather together before it disappears for the fall. Party In Our Private Room
Go one step further and avoid not only the cooking, but the setup and cleanup too! Instead of hosting your celebration in your own home, bring the party to Wobbly Boots BBQ. Our party room is the perfect place to gather with family and friends, and if there are more than 25 in your group, you can reserve the room and have it all to yourselves. It has the capacity to hold up to 65 party-goers. 

You can choose to order off of our everyday menu, or take advantage of a few options available only to special groups. This includes an in-house buffet, prime rib dinner (any day of the week!) and specialty platters. 

• Plated Prime Rib Dinner: This amazing dish is usually only offered on Friday & Saturday nights after 5 pm at the Boot, but for you and your friends, we'll make an exception! Each plate will have a tender, juicy 12-oz. smoked prime rib, baked potato, and green beans, plus a garden salad.
• Platters: We make up small trays that can serve 15-30 people, and large trays that can serve 30-50 people. Platter choices include: 
• Chicken Wings
• Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
• Vegetables
• Fruit
• Dessert
• In-House Buffet: Your buffet setup will come with slider buns, our famous house-made BBQ sauce, and pickles. From there, you choose the hickory-smoked meats and homemade side dishes that you want to serve your guests.
• Smoked Meats: Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Burnt Ends, Smoked Turkey, Smoked Pit Ham, Sweet Italian Sausage
• Homemade Side Dishes: Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Cottage Cheese, Green Beans, Potato Salad, Cheesy Corn w/ Ham, Smashed Potatoes & Gravy, Mac & Cheese, Baked Potato Soup, Soup of the Day

Don't hesitate to ask if you have a specific food in mind that you don't see on the menu. There's always a chance that we can accommodate your request. If not, our creative chefs will be able to come up with something everyone will love.

A $100 deposit is required to hold your date, but that amount will be deducted from your final bill. (The deposit is nonrefundable if cancelled within 7 days of the party.) There is a minimum purchase of $100 required Sunday-Thursday, and a minimum of $300 for events taking place on Friday or Saturday. If you would like to have a personal bartender or servers for your event, we can make that happen for a small additional charge. 

Wobbly Boots BBQ Delivers Too

If your party is larger than our private room can handle, or if you simply prefer to host your event at another location, we're happy to bring the best BBQ in Des Moines to you instead! We've even got a special catering van all souped up and ready to deliver our portion of the party. 

All we need from you is a date, an address, and an order of $100 or more. If you'd like for us to send a few of our friendly staff members along to serve or tend bar at your celebration, we can make that happen too. As long as we have those things and at least 24 hours notice, you're all set. (If you'll be ordering more than 10 pounds of meat, we'll need at least 48 hours to give it the proper amount of time in the smoker.) Payment is due at the time of delivery, and there may be a 15% service charge for orders outside of the Des Moines area.

Bring Your Party To Us, Or Let Us Bring The BBQ To Your Party!

Fall means football season, and football season means Saturdays and Sundays (and Monday and Thursday nights!) with a table full of snacks to fuel your team spirit. You don't want to miss one second of your favorite team's game, so let the best BBQ restaurant in Des Moines do all of the cooking for you.

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Clive knows how to masterfully create all of those tasty flavors everyone wants to chow down on during the game. You can bring your entire group to us, or choose to relax in the comfort of your own home and let us bring it all to you. 


Our Private Party Room
When you want to host all of your friends for the big game, but you don't really want to clean up your house and get it "party-ready," bring the gang to Wobbly Boots. We'll set you up in our private party space. There are 4 TVs in there with their own separate sound system from the restaurant. If this sounds like the perfect plan for you, here are a few of the details:

• A $100 deposit is required to hold the date, but once you show up, we'll use that money toward your final bill! (The deposit is nonrefundable if cancelled within 7 days of the party.)
• There is a 25 person minimum for the room to be private, and it fits up to 65 people. We will seat smaller groups in there, but other customers may be seated in the room as well.
• There is a $100 minimum Sunday-Thursday, and a $300 minimum on Friday & Saturday.
• Friendly service staff and talented bartenders are available for events at an additional charge.
• Prices are subject to change, so be sure to ask when you make your reservation.

The best caterers in Central Iowa just happen to work in our kitchen! We started receiving so many encouraging comments about how much people loved the private parties at the restaurant, we decided it would be a great idea to take Wobbly Boots Roadhouse BBQ Catering on the road. 

We need at least 24 hours notice to assure that we are able to bring the BBQ to you. For orders of $100 or more, we'll load up our hickory-smoked goodness into the Wobbly Boots catering van (you'll know it when you see it!) and head on over to your party. If you need a bit of extra help, our service staff and bartenders are available for an additional charge.
